MEMORANDUM OF ORGANIZATION:

1. Mission
The mission of the 327th Infantry Regiment Association is to maintain the camaraderie of past, present and future members of the Regiment.

2. Objective
The following are the objectives of the association.
a Provide a focal point for the preservation of the history and memory of those who served.
b Perpetuate the traditions and heritage of the 327thInfantry Regiment, 1-401st Glider Infantry Regiment, 1st (Bastogne) Brigade Combat Team of the 101st Airborne Division, and other units attached or assigned to the 327th Infantry Regiment.
c Support our veterans and current active duty soldiers of the Division as they move forward towards their next Rendezvous with Destiny.

3. Units
All persons, regardless of gender, who have served honorably, with elements of the 327th Infantry Regiment, 1-401st Glider Infantry Regiment, Combat Support or Combat Service Support units assigned or attached to the 327th Infantry Regiment at any time since activation of the regiment or in the future. Membership is not conflict dependent.

4. Organization
The Association is an informal, non-dues collecting organization. The Honorary Colonel of the Regiment and the Commander, 1st Brigade, 327th Infantry will jointly lead the association with the support of the Honorary Command Sergeant Major, the active duty Command Sergeant Major and the Honorary Adjutant. The Association will have a Board of Governors which will consist of the persons listed above and the serving 327th Infantry Regiment representatives to the 101st Airborne Division Association.

5. Meeting/Events
The Association will hold an annual meeting as called by the Association leadership. For the convenience of all this will generally be in conjunction with Week of the Eagles at Fort Campbell, KY, or other events called by the 101st Airborne Division Association or the active duty Bastogne Brigade.

6. Communications
The leadership will broadcast information on current and future events of the Regiment and Association through the use of email and a web site established and maintained for the Association. Cost of the web site will be covered by donations received from the membership. Also, various publications will be utilized to inform members and potential members of the Association activities. The primary means of communication will be through the web site.

7. Amendments to the Association
As the Association develops this memorandum may be modified with a majority vote of the Board of Governors and leadership.
