I service with the 2nd ballalion 327 th infantry in ashau valley, wounded May 05,1968, never did received my purple heart and I stay 3 weeks in the hospital in Japan , was transferred to korea the rest of my tour.
I was in A/1/327, and was there in Danang that fatefull day the chinook went down, in fact I was on the bird and the crew chief booted me off, saying it was full. I then departed and caught a ride to Camp Eagle on a duece and a half. That brings back a lot of memorys.
