Alpha Co.,2/327th. Looking for th guys were on Perimiter guard at Eagle when 3 122mm rockets hit the Cobra pads behind our bunker. One Cobra sprayed its rockets at us and one hit our bunker dead center. Someone took a picture. Would love to find a copy. No Slack
I arrived in the field on the night of the 22nd or 23rd ???
I spent the night or two with the CO Capt. TF.
Was put in the 3rd Platoon as RTO....
I served time as RTO for the great Tom Furgeson.
Alpha Company 2n Bn/327/101st Airborne (June 1966-1967)
And was the 7th man out the door of the 1st Plane
during Operation Junction City Feb. 22nd 1967 {NO SLACK}!
