Good Day Gentlemen. I have a few questions about FT. Campbell and the 101st Airborne Division. I was born at Ft Campbell in 1950, but my welcoming letter from Brigadier Gen Wayne C Smith, shows a letterhead of 11th Airborne. Did one supercede the other during this time? The reason I ask is that I am the coordinator for the Mail Call Program for the VetsRoll organization out of South Beloit, WI. We take 200+ Vet and Rosies to DC via 10 motor coach buses over 4 days. The Mail Call program asks students to write letters of appreciation to those who served. This year, I have 2 students whose grandfathers served with the 101st. I bought patches for both to commemorate his service. I am just confused about the 11th vs 101st Airborne Division at Ft Campbell. Thank you for your service. If you are interested in our trip, visit the website VETSROLL.ORG Sincerely and Respectfully, Jo Ann
