James L. Cotten Jr.

B Company 1967

Sgt. James Cotten, was lost on July 8th, 1967 while clearing a tunnell after the scout dog alerted on the tunnell entrance. Sgt. Cotten, chose to clear the tunnell himself rather than have one of his squad members do so. He died doing what he considered his most important job, taking care of his troops. He was a fine man and a great NCO, those of us lucky enough to have known him, will never forget his courage and devotion to his fellow troopers. He was truly one of the good ones. — Jim Wilson
