Sgt John W. Gray of Bangor, Maine, has passed on or about 12 Feb 2018.  He was the second squad leader  of 1st platoon, Company D, 2327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Div., Vietnam, July 1968-July 1969.  Funeral details are indefinite at this time.  I will post more information onto the guest book of the 327infantry.org site when it becomes available.  He died with overwhelming pain and depression of unnatural causes and leaves his wife of 50 years, Sandra Gray.  Please keep Sandra and kids and grandkids in your prayers.

I worked closely with Sgt Gray in Vietnam.  He was an outstanding airborne infantry soldier and leader … one of the best.

I was with Delta Co. 1st Platoon, 2nd Squad Leader July 68 – July 69.

We operated mostly in the mountains around the Ashau. Sometimes we jumped the fence – southern Laos – taking off from the airstrip at Ta Bat
